In Monaco, Sports Cars, Casinos and Cocktails (Shaken, not Stirred) Herald a New Trend in Men's Only Getaway

With the November 17 release of Casino Royale, the 21st film chronicling the exploits of charismatic, cut-throat Agent 007, men can tap their inner-James Bond for some guys-only R&R in the fabled Principality of Monaco. From world-famous casinos to golf against a panoramic Cote d’Azur backdrop, few destinations can match Monaco’s legendary combination of high-octane activities and Bond-esque intrigue.
“Monaco is a destination tailor-made for a men’s getaway,” said Maguy Maccario-Doyle, Director, North America, Monaco Government Tourist Office, who noted that 007 first uttered the historic phrase “Bond, James Bond” within the elegant confines of a Monte-Carlo casino. “The order of the day for a Monaco getaway for men involves race cars, helicopters and the high-speed recreational pursuits normally reserved for the wealthiest sportsmen.”
Within the spectacular Casino de Monte-Carlo, high rollers will feel they’ve stepped onto the soundstage of a 007 thriller. Jacket and tie are required after dark in this legendary gambling palace, setting the stage for an elegant evening in its beautifully adorned gaming rooms. Other high-stakes settings include the Casino du Café de Paris, Sun Casino, the Casino at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel and the Casino d’Eté (in the heart of the Sporting Monte-Carlo).
