Monte-Carlo Television Festival

Created in 1961 by H.S.H. Prince Rainier III, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival celebrates the creative art of television with a week of premiere screenings, workshops, panels and a star-studded awards evening. The festival, which was recently moved from February to July, when more television actors are on hiatus, aims to draw a larger celebrity attendance in addition to its remarkable gathering of international TV producers, directors and writers. The event has welcomed such names as Ray Romano, star of Everybody Loves Raymond and Mariska Hargitay; star of Law & Order, Special Victims Unit; Dick Wolf, Producer of the Law & Order series and Honorary Consul of Monaco; Andrew Lack, President and COO of NBC; Chris Albrecht, head of HBO original programming; and producer Merv Griffin.
